Willow, sawing, gates... we’re getting there!

It’s been another busy volunteering Saturday: The second set of willows for the withy bed are potted up and awaiting their final home; lots of learning to use a chop saw by some of the younger volunteers ended up with the allotment gate built and hung and, the heaviest task by far: 12 of the 15 tipi mounting posts were driven securely and extremely deeply into our very soft ground- awesome work from Katy and Frazer there!

With an awful forecast coming up for the next few days, we’re planning some nice light plant propagation off site next, preparing for the Chatsworth Show garden and to fill the raised beds we’ll shortly be building around the tipi space.

All on track for our March opening!
