We spent a whole day together this week, on a visit to Kedleston Hall in Derbyshire.
It was the perfect weather- not too hot, as we began our day with a walk and an explore of the parkland around the lakes. There was so much to discover! Especially grasshoppers- loads of them, several different species too. We did a scavenger hunt along the way...
We had a picnic lunch in the gardens, with some rolling down the lawns- then a treat in the café (cake!). Eventually we went into the house and museum, which our young people really enjoyed.
We even squeezed in another quick walk to find the hermit house! A fab day!
