Since we've been able to have people on site at the allotment again, we've been very busy!
With willow leftover from our sessions with young adults at Derby Umbrella (our neighbours at Annie's Place, on Rykneld Recreation Ground), we've made some plant supports. They're a great addition to the space!
Obviously, we've been cooking too! The rhubarb is even more spectacular than last year, so we've used it at lunchtimes to simply stew (with yoghurt), and to make drop scones. For the savoury part of lunch, we're enjoying using the new kitchen to make things like haloumi pittas - delicious!
More recipes in the coming weeks!
And we're not just gardening and cooking, there's lots of playing and exploring - like making potions from the herbs and other plants...
