News: Strawberries in October?

The Saturday volunteers have been taking out the remaining squash plants, as even though they keep producing flowers, they won't be able to grow to full size fruit at this time of year.

But the boys' new plot is actually being planted up, ready for next year. They've put in onion sets - which we hope won't be dug up by the mystery onion-upsetter, which has kept happening to our other onion plot!

They've also carefully transplanted some of the strawberry runners from the tipi circle bed, and put them into a donated strawberry 'tower', which they were quite excited about! But it feels like a long time until we'll be actually picking strawberries...
