We're only slightly ridiculously overexcited about this...
The National Lottery Community Fund told us today that the bid we submitted in December has been accepted. This means that in the next few months we'll have a lovely big greenhouse to hold group sessions in, plus we'll have the funding to run a series of community sessions once the weather gets a bit better: Things are really getting moving down at Crow Wood now!
Having the greenhouse will not only be great for those rainy or cold days when it's only OK to be outside when you're really, really active (and you actually want to do a taster session into, say, spoon carving or felting, not run around in circles all day)- it's also brilliant because it's going to give us loads of growing space for winter salads, starting off plants and, not least, for growing a huge range of plants suitable for mini explorers to get lost in for our fantastic Chatsworth Show "walk on the wild side" garden this summer!
Thank you to the National Lottery Community Fund, and thank you to everyone who has been supporting our start up journey so far- we've been so grateful for all the positive messages and help we've received.
